How To Lose Weight Quickly

We’re all looking for the latest tips, tricks, techniques, secrets or even supplements to help us shed body fat quicker. After all, who doesn’t want to lose weight as quickly as possible? But although some of these things might help us lose weight quickly, there is a vast difference between losing weight and losing body fat. Both will affect your body composition differently and can either change us for the worse or the better.

Go here to learn the truth about supplements.

Unlike many people, when I think of losing weight, I don’t think of losing just body fat. Weight can mean a number of different things, considering that the human body contains water, glycogen, muscle, your bones and even your skin. Of all these, muscle tissue is the most important and gives you the most positive effect on your body composition. Muscle mass give you that lean, defined, hard look and speeds up your metabolism to help you lose more fat.

This is why going on crash diets that make you lose a ridiculous amount of weight in an incredibly short period of time is a bad idea, since the ultimate result will be vast amounts of muscle lost.

So forget about losing weight. It means nothing in the face of what really matters – which is losing body fat. If you want to truly transform your body for the better, this is what you need to focus on.

Which brings up the million dollar question – Can I lose body fat quickly?

A lot of you are going to be disappointed when you hear me say this, but there’s no such thing as losing fat fast. Long term, positive changes in body composition require time. The good news is this – once you finally lose the body fat you’re trying to lose you will be much happier than if you decided to go on some type of fad diet to lose weight as quickly as possible.

Your muscles will actually show and you’ll become a lean, mean, fit machine. Not only that, but your confidence will skyrocket because of your new body and you will feel on top of the world – a new body means a new you.

To prevent muscle wasting, we should strive to lose no more than two pounds of body fat per week – and remember – that is strictly body fat you’ll be losing, which means a great end result.

Losing fat and losing weight are two totally different things. If you’re trying to lose all your muscle and turn into a loose, skinny-fat slob, go ahead and take the losing weight approach. But if you want to truly transform your body for the better, then the goal of losing fat is the only way to go. You’ll be happier, healthier and will feel much better about yourself as a person. Go here to learn how to gain muscle & lose fat at the same time.
