Trying to lose weight? Sure we all want to shed a few pounds every now and then, but the entire weight loss journey can be long and gruesome, not one that you probably look forward too. It can take a lot of hard work as well as support from family and friends to lose weight. Nevertheless, there are some nutritional choices you can make that will speed up the weight loss process and put it into overdrive. You need to stack your fridge full of foods which will help you lose weight, so let’s go ahead and take a look at 6 foods which will help you do so.
P.S. If you’re a female who’s trying to lose weight, I strongly recommend watching the short video presentation here and then purchasing the Venus Factor Program. It’s an incredibly effective system and you can check out my detailed review of it here. Even if you do not decide to purchase, at least watch the video until the end because it exposes some pretty insane tips you can apply today to drop fat & get lean.
Not only are eggs incredibly cheap, but they are also packed with protein as well as essential vitamins and minerals which will help speed up the weight loss process. Eggs are also a good source of Omega 3 fatty acids, and the typical egg contains about 6 grams of healthy fats. Some studies even show that consuming eggs on a regular basis can have a positive effect on your testosterone and growth hormone levels, two of the most powerful fat loss hormones in your entire body (rather you’re male or female). You can never go wrong with eggs.
2. Fresh Fruit & Vegetables
When it comes to fruits and vegetables, not any will be acceptable. You need to focus on consuming green leafy vegetables which are high in fiber, such as spinach, broccoli, lettuce and so on. As for fruits, any of them will do. Just make sure you stay away from vegetables like corn and white potatoes, which contain nearly no nutritional value and are high in empty carbs.
3. Dairy Products
Research seems to indicate that consuming 3 servings or more of dairy products per day can help you lose weight. Drink plenty of milk, eat plenty of cheese and high protein yogurt is good after your workouts as well.
Meat is the best source of protein known to man. If you are not a vegetarian, you should be loading up on meat each day. Meat contains lots of fiber and will keep you fuller longer, due to the protein and fat content in meat. Things like chicken, turkey, steak, ground beef and fish are all fantastic meat sources. I would aim to get at least 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight each day if your goal is weight loss. And don’t worry, eating meat will not “clog your arteries and lead to heart disease”. This was all a made up myth and this claim has absolutely no scientific evidence backing it up. Don’t believe me? Check out this article on the truth about saturated fat & cholesterol. If you still don’t believe me after reading that article, then do a quick Google search on the subject and you will find dozens of testimonials, articles and studies which support what I am saying.
5. Bread & Grain Products
If you love your carbs, then you need to stick to whole grains and nothing else. Bread is not as evil as many people think as long as you choose the right type of bread. Make sure that the bread that you buy has the words “100% whole grain” on the label. If it says “100% whole wheat”, it doesn’t count. This is a nasty trick the food manufacturers use in order to get you to buy their product. It must have the words whole grain.
Bread is not your only option though. Foods like oatmeal, brown rice and quinoa are some other fantastic examples of whole grains.
6. Fish & Shellfish
Frozen fillets and fish are normally on sale anywhere you go. This is a great way to get your protein without breaking the bank. Fish and shellfish are packed with healthy fats, vitamins and protein, which are all great if your goal is weight loss. If your goal is to save money then I recommend that you buy frozen fish, since it tends to be cheaper than fresh fish. If fresh fish is on sale, buy the fresh fish and freeze it if you want but don’t plan on eating it right away.
These 6 foods will definitely help you lose weight since they are high in fiber, vitamins, minerals, protein, healthy fats and so on. Your diet is going to be the most important factor to your weight loss success, so always make sure that you’re eating the right foods each day to help you lose weight as efficiently as possible, if that is your goal. These 6 foods will definitely give you a head start.
As a quick reminder, I strongly recommend watching the short video presentation here for some fat loss tips you can begin applying today! Then I recommend purchasing the Venus Factor Program. You can see my detailed review on this incredibly effective system here.
